Gummy bears and lasers

Gummy bears and lasers can be used to demonstrate light-matter interactions. When shining a laser of a particular color through a gummy bear of the same color, all of the light passes through, or is being transmitted. Alternatively, when shining a laser of a particular color through a gummy bear of the opposite color, virtually no light will pass through, as it is absorbed be the gummy bear.
