Event Details

Professor Steven Weinberg is the Jack S. Josey-Welch Foundation Chair in Science and Regental Professor at the University of Texas at Austin. He is also the director of the Theory Research Group, and was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1979 for his contribution to the unification of the weak and electromagnetic interactions between elementary particles. He has made several seminal contributions to the field of theoretical physics, working on many aspects of particle physics, cosmology, supersymmetry, and supergravity.
