Joint Dataset Analysis and Indirect Detection Dark Matter Constraints

Speaker:

Savvas Koushiappas (Brown University)

Location:

Address:

Mitchell Institute for Fundamental Physics & Astronomy

College Station, Texas 77843

Event Details

Dr. Koushiappas will discuss recent work on statistical methods that can be used to test the hypothesis of extremely faint dark matter signals contained in multi-datasets. He will also discuss recent results on searches for dark matter annihilation emission from dwarf galaxies using data from Fermi as well as give an overview of the current state of the field and the future of indirect detection efforts.
