How Hard Is It to Get a de Sitter Solution in String Theory?

Speaker:

Keshav Dasgupta (McGill University)

Location:

Address:

Mitchell Institute for Fundamental Physics & Astronomy

College Station, Texas 77843

Event Details

In this talk, Dr. Dasgupta will argue that a de Sitter solution in string theory is hard to get, although not impossible. He will show a possible way to realize KKLT type solution using string theory fluxes and discuss the status of other possible ways to achieve de Sitter vacua.
