The Holographic Pomeron and Regge Regime Scattering

Speaker:

Sophia Domokos (New York University)

Location:

Address:

Mitchell Institute for Fundamental Physics & Astronomy

College Station, Texas 77843

Event Details

Dr. Domokos will discuss Regge regime scattering using holographic QCD. While most holographic QCD models are confined to low-energy data, the Regge regime provides a wealth of additional data, which can be used to test holographic techniques. This regime, however, requires us to push beyond the supergravity limit of the holographic models, and include stringy physics. Dr. Domokos will describe a way to approximate stringy holographic scattering, focusing especially on Pomeron exchange.
