Event Details

The Quantum Null Energy Condition (QNEC) is a lower bound on the stress tensor in relativistic quantum field theory. It establishes a striking relation between energy and entanglement. We recently proved the QNEC using a combination of entanglement, conformal field theory, and algebraic quantum field theory tools. I will discuss the QNEC and sketch the proof.
