Astronomy Open House Set for Friday
COLLEGE STATION —
The Astrophysics Group in the Texas A&M University Department of Physics is hosting its final Astronomy Open House of the 2008-09 academic year Friday (May 29) from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the campus observatory. The free event will feature telescope observing, star gazing, and a public talk by a Texas A&M astronomer.
Free parking is available in Lot No. 1 of the Brayton Fire Training Center, from which individuals can board a free shuttle bus that will transport them to and from the observatory. The first shuttle will depart for the observatory at 8:25 p.m., with additional shuttles running every 15 minutes.
