Biography

Aux Location: ENPH B09

Professor Agnolet received a B.S. in physics from Carnegie Mellon University in 1976, a M.S. from Cornell University in 1980, and a Ph.D. from Cornell University in 1983. He held a postdoctoral associate's appointment at AT&T Bell Laboratories from 1982-1985 before joining the faculty at Texas A&M University. He was a 1985 recipient of the Presidential Young Investigator Award.Professor Agnolet's research interests lie in experimental low-temperature physics. He has studied the4He solid-liquid interface and the properties of thin superfluid 4He films. More recently, he is using a crosswire technique for IETS to study molecules at the metallic surfaces and is building a low temperature STM.
