Kelli Humbird worked with Dr. Scully during the spring of 2014 before beginning an M.S. program at Rice in Fall 2014. She came back to TAMU and got her M.S. and Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering and now works as a design physicist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). She and her research team created a successful nuclear fusion experiment that was presented to Dr. Marvin Adam, the National Nuclear Security Administration's Deputy Administrator for Defense Programs.
