The Mechanical Instrument Shop is committed to providing expert fabrication of prototype scientific instruments, as well as on-site inspection, estimates, consulting, machining, welding, and repairs. They strive to provide a convenient, flexible, and cost effective machine shop services primarily to the TAMU Department of Physics & Astronomy research community, as well as other TAMU Departments as time permits. The Machine Shop personnel will work from a spectrum of rough sketches to CAD designs to create the machined product you require.
