Event Details

I will review some of the key concepts in flux backgrounds of string theory/M-theory down to Minkowski space. I will focus on how one can try to understand the moduli space from the notion of G-structures, as well as how flux breaks the integrability these G-structures and hence changes the moduli space. I will outline how generalised geometry can help you deal with the difficulties that arise with flux, allowing analysis of previously intractable geometries.
