Searching for Top-philic Dark Matter

Speaker:

Anthony Difranzo (Rutgers University)

Location:

Address:

Mitchell Institute for Fundamental Physics & Astronomy

College Station, Texas 77843

Event Details

Dark matter which couples to the Standard Model primarily through the top quark are well motivated from theoretical and experimental perspectives. Possible top-philic dark matter models and their motivations will be reviewed. Ultimately, simplified models which encapsulate the characteristics of interest will be used to examine recent LHC results as well as direct and indirect detection searches.
