Event Details

I will review our recent work on scattering of single- and two-photon wavepackets by two-level emitters in a one-dimensional geometry (waveguide). Highlights include: a closed-form analytic expression for the pulse shape for a single scatterer and an N-photon incident state; transmission resonances for one and two-photon pulses incident on a pair of two-level atoms, with and without a dipole interaction between the atoms; and the possibility of using these resonances to build a conditional phase gate for photons.
