How Optics Is Helping to Solve Important Health Problems

In this presentation, we shall discuss how the use of light, in the called biophotonics, is proposing solutions for many of the modern challenges associated with health care. We should discuss cancer treatment, microbial control, food decontamination and preservation. Diagnostic techniques including modern use of light and X-Ray, including new ideas and innovations will be presented. It is an overall presentation on the topic including research being carried out by the group ob Biophotonics in Brazil. What are the new challenges in the field? That will be discussed in the presentation.
