Higgs Couplings and Naturalness in Lambda-SUSY

Speaker:

Event Details

Naturalness of weak-scale supersymmetry has become an important concern following the discovery of a 126 GeV Standard-Model-like Higgs and lack of evidence for superpartners close to the weak scale. In addition to the mass, we now have information on branching ratios of the Higgs boson, which can be used to place constraints on various incarnations of supersymmetry. In this talk, Dr. Shakya will discuss the compatibility of the observed Higgs in the context of the lambda-SUSY model, an extension of the NMSSM where a large coupling (lambda) between the singlet and doublet sectors naturally allows for heavy higgses and superpartners.
