Stretching beyond the visible and infrared regions of electromagnetic spectrum lies the terahertz (THz) range - a region of a great interest for remote sensing, spectroscopy and security screening applications. Although the THz research field have been limited for the long time by the lack of bright and intense light sources, the recent progress in development of the THz coherent sources let this field flourish. In this talk I will give a brief overview of different THz radiation sources, with the focus on THz radiation generation by laser-plasma interactions. I will describe the physical phenomena underlying both the generation and detection of THz fields. Finally, I will provide some recent experiment results on generation not only THz, but even millimeter waves in a two-color laser driven plasma.
