Event Details

The old idea that primordial black holes (PBHs) may make the dark matter has recently been revived in the wake of LIGO’s first direct detection of a binary-black-hole merger. PBHs are constrained in several mass ranges by various probes. In particular, in the ~30 Msun range corresponding to LIGO’s event, CMB anisotropies and spectral measurements may place stringent limits. In this talk I will describe a revisited calculation of the PBH accretion rate and luminosity, as well as the resulting CMB constraints.
