Chasing Anomalies in 2014

Speaker:

Kuver Sinha (Syracuse University)

Location:

Address:

Mitchell Institute for Fundamental Physics & Astronomy

College Station, Texas 77843

Event Details

Dr. Sinha will look back at some of the anomalies that we have seen this year: the “dark matter keV line”, the persistent (mild) signal for dark radiation, niggling excesses in the dilepton and charged lepton and jets final states at the LHC, and the fast-disappearing BICEP signal. He will also discuss model-building possibilities in each of them and some broader lessons that can be learnt.
