Prof. Artem Abanov's group does the theoretical research on strongly correlated electron physics,superconductivity, spintronics, magnetization manipulation, cold atoms, topological insulators, and unstable propogation of interfaces. Although the research tends to be mathematically intensive, the major strength of the group is the focus on the physical effects and explanations.
