Email Server Info

This document is intended for those users who are already familiar with setting up their favorite email client and only need to know the particulars for the email server here in the Department of Physics.

Incoming (Pop or Imap) Server:     mail.physics.tamu.edu
Note: you MUST select the option to use SSL

Outgoing (SMTP) Server - on campus:    mail.physics.tamu.edu
Note: you should NOT select the option to use SSL

Outgoing (SMTP) Server - off campus:    smtp-relay.tamu.edu
Note: you MUST select the option for "My server requires authentication" using your NEO userid & Password, using the "TLS if available encryption".
