Dr. Ross' research interests lie in experimental condensed matter physics, with emphasis on magnetic resonance studies of materials, as well as a number of other experimental techniqes. Research includes studies of silicon and germanium clathrates, hybridization gap alloys, rare earth intermetallics, and magnetic force microscope imaging of magnetic structures.
Professor Ross received his B.S. degree from Yale University in 1981, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1982 and 1986. Following a postdoctoral position at Cornell University, he joined the faculty at Texas A&M in 1988.
