Research Topics: My research focusses on studying first galaxies that are likely responsible for the reionization of the Universe. This is one of the important milestones in the history of the Universe because at this epoch the Universe becomes transparent to most of the electromagnetic radiation as most of the neutral hydrogen is ionized by the intense ionizing radiations from first stars and first galaxies. I use data from large galaxy surveys including FourStar Galaxy Evolution Survey (zFOURGE) obtained from the Magellan Telescope in Chile, and the CANDELS survey which uses the Hubble Space Telescope. I have found some interesting candidates for galaxies at redshift of ~7 ( at this redshift the age of the Universe is merely 800 Myr); these are possibly among the first objects to form in the Universe.
