Faculty Positions
The Department of Physics at Texas A&M University has opened searches for new tenured and tenure-track positions in experimental high energy physics, experimental AMO physics, and theoretical AMO physics. These positions are part of the university's Reinvestment Plan to increase total faculty ranks on campus by 20%. Applicants will be given careful consideration, with the most important factor being the candidate's potential for excellence in research and teaching. Successful candidates will assume full teaching responsibilities at the graduate and undergraduate levels and will be expected to conduct vigorous research programs.
We would like to encourage outstanding candidates in these areas to submit an application for one of these positions. Applications for these positions will be accepted until the positions have been filled.
Each applicant should submit
- vita;
- publication list;
- description of future research plans (maximum five pages);
- teaching statement; and
- the names, addresses, telephone numbers, and e-mail addresses of at least three references (six references for senior faculty appointments)
via e-mail (as Word or .pdf attachments only, please) to facultysearch@physics.tamu.edu
A cover letter should indicate the research area (experimental high energy physics, experimental AMO physics, or theoretical AMO physics) in which the application should be considered.
